Who we are…

Who we are…

The Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center believes that all individuals, regardless of disability, deserve the opportunity to contribute to their communities. We actively promote the inclusion of adults with intellectual disabilities who have been diagnosed with one or more mental health disorders through client centered programs.

In 2018 MCOC launched the EXPLORE Program, a Behavioral Health Multi Specialty Group through Kentucky Medicaid. In this program, clients and their families develop a treatment plan with an on-site Clinical Social Worker and trained Community Support Associate. The goal of this collaboration is to assess the individual needs and abilities of each person while identifying a strategic approach that maximizes independent functioning and quality of life.

Additionally, MCOC operates an onsite thrift store and donation center, both providing vocational opportunities for our clients.
